Yayasan PETRONAS Spreads Joy through Uplifting Lives Festive this Chinese New Year

Kuala Lumpur, 29 January 2025– Yayasan PETRONAS spreads festive cheer to 2,100 families nationwide through the distribution of festive packs as part of its Uplifting Lives Festive (ULF) Initiative this Chinese New Year. 

The festive packs include essential food items, along with specially sourced festive cookies from entrepreneurs participating in the MEKAR (Memampankan Ekonomi Asas Rakyat) Programme under Yayasan PETRONAS. 

Uplifting Lives Festive distribution this year reaches across 15 states in Malaysia, sharing the joy of the festive season with communities nationwide. The contributions were made in collaboration with the Welfare Department and PETRONAS’ regional offices. 

Shariah Nelly Francis, CEO of Yayasan PETRONAS said, “Chinese New Year is a time for celebration, reunion, and goodwill. Through our Uplifting Lives Festive, we strive to uplift communities across Malaysia by spreading festive joy. Our festive programme reflects our commitment of sharing joy with all who celebrate, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need”. 

The Uplifting Lives Festive programme is part of Yayasan PETRONAS’ effort to support community well-being and development across Malaysia.
