This CBDRM trainings empower communities with several modules of disaster preparedness, risk and action plan with the support of all stakeholders in efforts to improve disaster risk reduction, preparedness, response, and recovery as well as promote the concept of “Build-back-Better”) in the face of multiple disasters.
This project also highlighted the practical concept and international benchmarking from Japan for enhancing local preparedness and resilient communities, namely as Self-Help, Mutual-Help, and Public-Help. Integration of technical and local knowledge has been collaboratively explored in understanding local risk, emerging hazards and compound disaster. This co-benefit has empowered the vulnerable communities in preparing for the worst.
